Standards & Accessibility

Why do we care so much about web standards and accessibility? Because its the right way to do things (and we’re not the only ones who think so!). While it takes a bit more effort, we feel that is why you choose a professional for the job.

Anyone that can use a word processor can create static webpages using FrontPage, Dreamweaver, or any other WYSIWYG editor. However, it takes an experienced professional to hand-craft clean, semantic, and dynamic XHTML/CSS that loads quickly and properly in every modern browser.

Besides being cleaner, a table-free and standards-compliant layout is more friendly to screen readers. In addition, federally-mandated Section 508 compliancy takes much less effort to achieve.

With any project, large or small, we check our work in 12 different browsers across 6 major platforms to ensure maximum compatibility for the broadest reach possible.
